POUGHKEEPSIE PLAZA MALL DISPLAY CASE—HVAG SHOWCASE

1.     You must fill out a contract form and return it to the showcase committee chairperson:  Kittie Henstebeck 9 Bayen Dr., Fishkill, NY 12524; 845/896-6651; email: KHPorcelains@optonline.net.  Please include a business card with your contract for my records.

2.     All work must be handmade by the artist/craftsperson.

3.     Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall management has final approval over items displayed in the showcase.

4.     Items are displayed for a period of 4-6 weeks; schedule is determined by the committee showcase chairperson.

5.     The chairperson must be supplied with a description of the items and the prices of the pieces you intend to display.  (The Mall management has requested that we display prices, although  direct selling from the case does not usually take place.)  It is helpful to have these descriptions and prices 1-2 weeks ahead of time so that appropriate signs can be made to go with your items. These signs have your name, business name, craft, telephone number and web address if you have a website.  Signs are also made with descriptions/titles and prices of your items.  (The chairperson makes up uniform signs with this information; the uniformity makes for a better display.) Note: if your descriptions and prices are not received by one week before the display change, your products may not be included in that change.

6.     Your products will be displayed on one shelf. The shelves are approximately 36 long and 12 deep, with a height of about 18.  One shelf is about 27 long.  Arrangements of displays are made considering the overall look of the display case.

7.     Please bring a business card and a brochure, if you have, one to display along with your products.

8.     Fine artists, please note:  This is a display case, not a gallery, and your pictures will need easels. The Guild has some easels, but you may want to supply your own to show off your work to best advantage. Also, because of the size of the display case, 8 x 10 framed  pictures, or at most, 11 x 14 framed, are about the largest that can be easily accommodated in the case.

9.     If someone calls you and wants to purchase an item in the showcase, call the chairperson (Kittie Henstebeck, 896-6651) to arrange to have the item removed from the case.

10. Questions, problems, concernscall or email me!  Thank you for your cooperation and for choosing to display in the Guild's Showcase.
